Fun and exciting news for Ari Photography! We decided it was a time for a change for our family and that we wanted to start anew in a location we have always wanted to live..Dallas Texas! So, in October we found a house here in Keller/Southlake Texas and by September we were here!
So now, Im sitting here in my new house in my own office. I cant tell you how ood it feels to have my own space! The lighting in so wonderful as the sun is shining through this noce big window on the second floor:) I have my charts all over the walls ready to get to work with these fantastic Texans!
So far I have had a positive reaction to my work. It appears as though it is something people around here have not seen an are not used to. Which is great. I dont want to be like anyone else and when someone asks for a referral for another photographer like myself I take pride in saying that I truly dont know of anyone else. (Especially in this area!:)
Lots of great things come from starting in a new location. Though it can be a difficult process getting your name out there and reformatting your site to register as a Dallas Wedding Photographer versus where I was before. Im loving seeing the reactions of the clients as well as scouting new locations! Funny..So many people keep saying that we need to go check out this or that place for example the Fort Worth Stockyards, for popular photo back drops. If they knew Ari Photography like most you readers do they would know I try to go places no other photographers have gone before! (Besides venues for wedding events et.:)
Speaking of Venues! My hubby and I went out last weekend for his birthday. First we hit up this fantastic smoke house barbeque called Lockhart Steakhouse right down near (accross the freeway) from those fantastic high end wedding venues. We were all full and ready to go out searching for Ari Photography venues and companies to work with! I made some notes and decided a few venues I WILL get into to work for will be the
- Fairmont Hotel in Dallas,
- The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek,
- The Rosewood Crescent
- The Palomino and the Ritz Carlton.
- DMA Dallas Museum of Art
- Warwick Melrose Hotel, Dallas
- Andrew Ormsby Cityplace Events and Catering (LOVE THE CONCEPT OF THIS COMPANY!)
- Sixty Five Hundred What a cool and urban venue!
A mist entering a new location its important to get in with fellow vendors so that you can cross refer. I in fact have a referral list I give all my brides which has gone to pot now that I have moved! So Im excited to find new companies to work with! As I've done my online research and spoken with a few local professionals I was encouraged to check out Modern Luxury Dallas Brides Magazine. I was quickly enamored and instantly sent in a request for a media kit! I was so lucky to hear back from the magazine the next day in which they told me they reviewed my work and would love to work with me! In fact it sounds like I will be doing some work for the magazine itself! What a pleasure! The next step is proceeding to find other companies to work with as I mentioned before. What better place to find high end wedding companies than in a high end wedding magazine! So I have gone through the magazine and these are the companies I hope to get to work with...Side note..why the heck am I posting this you may think? Well as my mother in law taught me its important to "put things out to the universe". What better way to put this out to the universe in hopes that it all happens then to put it on the internet where millions could see it? LOL! This list also serves as a great checklist for myself to go back to and make sure I have done the proper work to refer these companies:) I need these companies to be no less than fabulous for my boutique and couture fashion loving brides and weddings! How am I picking the companies you may ask? Well let me just say that there is a lot that goes into putting together a wedding magazine ad. One ad that represents your entire company. it is something that should be very well thought out. So what Im going off of until I get to know and work with more of these wedding vendors Is what these ads look like. Do they look professional? Do they look high end? Do I like the font they use? Do their photos look somewhat innovative? What kind of colors are they using on their ad? Whats the name of their company? How professional is their Logo?
Ok so here is who caught my eye who ads in Modern Luxury Dallas Brides Magazine...@DallasBrides
