Today, Ari Photography is extremely elated to share a summer photoshoot with the gorgeous Kate Mitchell who wed her beau at The Perkins Chapel. This shoot took place August 11th, which is pretty special to me, because my husband and I share our own anniversary the very next day. I met Kate through her mother, Josephine Mitchell who found us in Modern Luxury Magazine. Josephine Mitchell and her husband Joseph Mitchell are two of the top lawyers in Dallas and we were thrilled to work with them.
The day started with the bridesmaids and Kate getting beautified in her home by makeup artist Carolyn Logan. Kate’s beau, Heath, and his groomsmen got ready at a friend’s house. During my time with the lovely ladies, I go to get to know them on a personal basis. Kate was incredible to work with and I instantly discovered a bond with her in both as I also shot her engagement session. Kate made me feel like I instantly belonged in her family and I adored being around them throughout the entire process.
Whitney Zapffe was one of Kate’s bridesmaids and is a stellar wedding planner out here in Dallas; highly recommended by Ari Photography. Kate’s sister Elizabeth Mitchell, was also part of the wedding party. Elizabeth is very well known in Hollywood with a key role in ABC’s hit show, Once Upon a Time as the Snow Queen and the new summer hit on Freeform, Dead of Summer. You might also recognize her from E.R, V and Revolution. She also played a large role in my favorite television shows of all time, LOST as Dr. Juliet Burke. Phew, what talent!
The gorgeous floral and decor was garnished by Garden Gate. To say that the venue was romantic would be an understatement. It was absolutely stunning. After the wedding, we boarded the party bus to the historic Belo Mansion. As we captured all this wedding magic, the smell of chicken and waffles and fried green tomatoes instantly filled the venue. It was our first time trying southern fried food and most certainly won’t be our last. The Belo Mansion is known for fine cuisine and the mouthwatering steak hit all the right taste buds.
The night ended with the beautiful couple being draped in a tunnel filled with confetti and Ari Photography was extremely blessed to have captured all these magical moments on camera. Congratulations to Kate and Heath as well as the entire Mitchell family, we are filled with gratitude to have been able to spend the special day with you all.
